Dennis R. Kroner, is a Financial Adviser for Howe Barnes Hoefer & Artnett in Chicago, Illinois.
Prior to joining Howe Barnes, Mr. Kroner had been practicing public accounting for over 40 years in Chicago, Illinois representing closely-held businesses and advising high net-worth individuals on taxes, financial planning and asset management. He has served on the AICPA PFS Sub-Committee as Vice-Chairman. Was a member of the Board of Directors of the Illinois CPA Society as Vice-Chairman. The Illinois CPA Society has 23,000 members. Is a founder of The All-Star Financial Group, LLC, which is an information sharing group of CPA’s specializing in personal financial planning for firms that cater to entertainers, professional athletes and high net-worth individuals. In 1999, earned the professional designation of “Diplomate of the American Board of Forensic Accounting”.
Mr. Kroner has lectured and taught courses for many professional and commercial groups in the area of tax, financial planning and investments. He is currently an adjunct professor at Northwestern University, teaching financial planning and tax courses graduate school of business. Has had articles published in national and local publications from, Newsweek, Bottom Line, and many local publications. He has acted as a consultant to TV networks on matters relating to taxes and financial planning. Had many TV and radio appearances discussing topics of accounting, taxes, financial planning and investments. Has written a monthly column for the Illinois CPA Society on financial planning and investment subjects. He has also been an expert witness in court cases involving taxes and financial planning issues. He has co-authored a book by Warren Gorham and Lamont on accounting and investment matters. He has also edited books for studying for the Registered Investment Advisor designation (RIA, Series 65/66 Exam). In 1998, 1999 and 2000-2001, he has been chosen as one of the 250 top financial advisers by Worth Magazine.
Mr. Kroner serves as a member of the Board of Directors of Civic & Charitable organizations:

Hektoen Institute for Medical Research (Breast Cancer & HIV Research)
Avoca Foundation for Preservation of Educational Excellence
In the past, he has served on many charitable and civic organizations boards as well as being and elected member of the local school district for eight years.
Mr. Kroner is a Graduate of Northwestern (Kellogg School of Management) University and holds a Master’s Degree in taxation from DePaul University.
