Marsha G. LePhew, CPA/PFS, CFP®, ChFC Marsha G. LePhew established the firm of Marsha G. LePhew, CPA, PC in 1991. From its origin, the firm offered traditional accounting services as well as fee only financial planning services. In 1999, legislative changes in the State of South Carolina allowed Marsha to expand financial planning services to include investment advisory services. A new firm, LePhew Financial Services, Inc. was formed to house those services. Prior to forming her own companies, Marsha was a national bank examiner employed by the Comptroller of the Currency, U.S. Treasury Department. Marsha has grown client relationships by helping clients blend their financial and life objectives into written plans and by helping them be wise and diligent in remaining focused on their goals. Her expertise in tax and accounting, combined with her financial planning and investment advisory skills, allow clients to have one key individual functioning as their family's personal controller for financial affairs. Marsha has been actively involved in the promotion of CPAs as highly qualified and ethical financial advisors. She has been a member of the South Carolina Association of CPAs Financial Planning Committee for six years and has chaired the State Committee for two years. She also served four years as a member of the national level AICPA's Personal Financial Specialist Credential and Examination Committee. Other professional activities include public speaking engagements addressing financial planning and investment advisory services at AICPA conferences, SCACPA conferences, and local industries. She has also frequently appeared and been quoted addressing financial issues in local and regional press. Achievements include recognition by Worth magazine as one of the top 250 financial advisers in the nation in the July/August 2002 edition. Marsha is also a member of the All-Star Financial Group, LLC., a national organization made up of highly experienced CPA's providing financial advisory services. Membership provides a unique benefit as it allows her the ability to access and share knowledge with highly qualified financial advisors throughout the nation. Community involvement has included service as a member of the Board of Directors for the United Way, Catawaba Regional Development, Rotary, and Communities in School. |
